Invite your MP to become a Parliamentary Champion!

Domestic Abuse is a national emergency. We know that MPs will often meet survivors in their constituencies who urgently need support. Women’s Aid can support MPs offices to provide a safe and effective response for survivors, and to champion their voices in Parliament; but we need your help to build our network of Women’s Aid Parliamentary Champions.

Women’s Aid Parliamentary Champions are a network of MPs and Peers who understand the nuances of issues relating to domestic abuse and use their knowledge to elevate the voices of survivors of domestic abuse in Parliament by:

  • Table written and oral questions related to domestic abuse
  • Quote Women's Aid briefings, reports and survivor testimonies in debates
  • Apply for debates on domestic abuse
  • Use our digital badge on social media

Our Parliamentary Champions are essential to Women’s Aid’s mission to end domestic abuse and build a world that’s safe for all women and children. Together we can support each other to ensure survivors have a place to turn in their time of need.

Will you write to your MP, inviting them to meet with Women’s Aid and become a champion for survivors of domestic abuse?
